Dean Winchester/Eliot

Dean was pissed. They'd been on a case for a week and still hadn't figured it out. It seemed someone else was on the same case and the asshole seemed to be one step ahead of them. Finally they'd gotten a lead and were on their way to the house where the demon they were hunting was supposedly at. The poor sap being used as a meat suit was apparently some important businessman and the demon riding him around like his own personal pony was causing enough trouble to have made the papers a few times over.
He looked up at the house as they pulled up, eyes narrowing as he surveyed the layout. They got out and he popped the trunk, pulling out his pistol and the demon knife before sliding the blade into his boot. Once they were both loaded up they made their way to the door, pushing it open easily and heading inside. Dean immediately lifted the pistol, looking around before motioning to Sam that he was heading upstairs, being as silent as humanly possible.

"Better before you asked," Eliot sighed, looking too towards the lengthening shadows in the room. Evening had sneaked up on them and he had to get ready soon. Since it looked like Dean wasn't moving, Eliot sat up.
"I better get ready."

Date: 2013-04-14 06:57 am (UTC)As if he would relinquish it so easily.
"Remember," he said then slid his glance across to where the gun sat on the table.
Getting up, he looked around himself then with a firm nod, walked into the bathroom and closed the door. He didn't lock it though, knowing he would need Dean's help to open it once he was in his wolf form.

Date: 2013-04-14 07:02 am (UTC)He'd be lying if he said he wasn't at least a little nervous. Once he had all the leftovers put away he looked at the table, staring at the gun before turning away. Nope he was leaving it there. The last thing Eliot needed to see was him holding it. He wanted the man...wolf to know he trusted him. Even if he didn't trust himself.
Finally, when he had everything put away and cleaned, he went back to the touch and waited.

Date: 2013-04-14 07:14 am (UTC)Sitting down cross legged, he waited.
It didn't take too long. The first wave of changing pains hit him little less than half an hour since he moved himself inside. He gasped, never not caught off guard by it no matter how he always tried to prepare. He quickly uncrossed his legs and climbed to his hands and knees. Just in time his bones started shifting, joints turning around and reconnecting while his skin changed and stretched with it.
Bones broke and rebuilt as tufts of golden fur started jutting out in patches along his skin. He gritted his teeth, taking in the pain wordlessly as he tried to hold back his screams for the sake of the man sitting outside. He gasped wordlessly as soon even the ability to scream had been taken from him during midchange, when his vocal chords stretched and remade into the timbres available to a wolf.
The change lasted not ten minutes, but like always by the time it was done, it left him sprawled out and breathing heavily, barely alive from how much it took out of him.

Date: 2013-04-14 07:20 am (UTC)"Eliot? You...are you ok?" He turned the knob, cracking the door to peek in. He heard the heavy breathing suddenly and he pushed the door completely open, eyes going huge at the wolf sprawled on the floor. It was weird for him because he'd thought seeing Eliot like this, well he figured he'd be terrified, but he moved into the bathroom. "Eliot?"
He dropped to his knees slowly, moving closer until he was kneeling next to the wolf. He reached out slowly, cautiously before sliding his fingers into his fur, pressing gently and rubbing.

Date: 2013-04-14 07:52 am (UTC)While the change had weakened him, Eliot had kept an unbelievably tight grip on his wolf such that when he cracked open his eyes, the same sharp blue gaze of the retrieval specialist stared out from that furry face. Intelligence lingered there too, as well as recognition, and it was without a doubt that Eliot knew Dean.
Yet somehow, miraculously, when Dean moved near him, he felt the fighting will, that ever present rage that was the core of the beast he mentally caged, dampen slightly. It wasn't gone, but it seemed that the wolf was less interested in tearing Dean apart.
Not that it could even if Eliot's control slipped. As he more or less expected, until he rested a good while he was too tired to do much more than nudge his snout slightly in the hunter's direction.

Date: 2013-04-14 07:57 am (UTC)"Can I move you? I mean, are you alright with me getting you back out there? I don't think you want to be stuck laying next to the toilet half the night." He smiled down at him, still brushing his fingers through fur. He avoided the wound as he scratched over his side and flank, hoping Eliot would be ok with it.

Date: 2013-04-14 08:29 am (UTC)He surprised himself by nuzzling the hand on his head. His eyes phased slightly golden as he did so, the relaxing gesture coming from more the animal than the man.
But Dean was right, he couldn't stay here the whole time. Wriggling his nose slightly at the distasteful smell, Eliot decided it was time for him to try to get up. He hated Dean seeing him like this as it was.
He tried to draw his legs back out under him. Attempting to raise, he managed to stand but wobbled unsteadily as he took a tentative step. Damnit, his limbs felt like wet noodles still.

Date: 2013-04-14 08:35 am (UTC)So he shifted, pushing himself up before bending and sliding both arms up under Eliot, lifting him. Yeah, it definitely wasn't easy, but thankfully he could manage. He carried the wolf slowly back into the room and made his way over to the bed where he set Eliot down. Immediately he was on the bed with him, settling back against the headboard.
"You weren't bleeding too bad, so it should be okay. No serious damage or anything." He stretched out and smiled, tilting his head a bit before holding an arm out. He wasn't just gonna pull Eliot to him, nor was he going to pat his leg like the man was a dog. He'd let him come over if he wanted to, but he was definitely going to let him know he was invited.
"By the way, I am telling you this now just so I know you can't shut me up....I fuckin told you so." He laughed.

Date: 2013-04-18 02:22 am (UTC)The wolf flailed slightly when he found Dean's biceps suddenly circling around his great body and pawed halfheartedly at Dean for several moments before it was obvious that the hunter wasn't going to give up. Then grunting and snorting, the wolf all but went limp in the hunter's arms and became dead weight. Heavy to carry, but he tried to minimize the awkwardness of carrying him.
Alright, it actually felt good to be held in his Alpha's arms like this.
Snorting again when he was put down, Eliot sat there and considered Dean for a very long moment. Normally he would be fighting for control against his wolf like the beast wanted to claw its way out, but here, he only got the desire to lay down his head for —Peace, pack, Alpha— Dean.
Blue eyes that were interspersed with flecks of golden yellow looked up at Dean in a head tilt that was distinctively Eliot. Then moving forward, he nudged at Dean with a large paw as wolf language for 'shut up' and laid his head down on the hunter's chest.

Date: 2013-04-18 02:35 am (UTC)He carefully avoided his wound as he kept scratching and rubbing him down. He shifted slightly, letting himself curl slightly around Eliot while touching him.
no subject
Date: 2013-04-18 03:29 am (UTC)Yet the rubs were surprisingly pleasant and damn it, Eliot wanted to loll his tongue out.
For the first time since being turned, he could feel his wolf stop fighting him and whined.
Wait, did he actually make that noise?
It became very apparent though that Dean was right, he was definitely in no danger of the animal. If anything, Eliot could barely resist the urge to roll onto his back and bare his belly to his Alpha.

Date: 2013-04-18 03:37 am (UTC)He kept rubbing, shifting and rolling sideways so that Eliot was on his side. The whine made Dean's eyebrow raise slowly before he smiled. "You like that, huh?" He mumbled, scratching down his side and over his flank, letting his fingers slide through fur.
This was definitely different, but Dean couldn't actually complain. It was pleasant. Sure, he'd much rather be lying with the man right now, touching bare skin instead of fur but he wasn't complaining about this. He wouldn't.

Date: 2013-04-18 04:03 am (UTC)And he wondered, would it be safe to release the beast from its leash?
He could sense that the creature still wanted to fight him for its freedom, but it wasn't with rage now, yet something else. Something had changed and it wanted Dean, the same something that had him whining again while Dean rubbed through his fur. He snorted too and licked his snout in answer to Dean's words, a bit of pride speaking up before he bared his belly really, but he still ended up whining again nonetheless.
But were they going to just sit in bed with Dean patting him down the whole night? He yawned, showing off some impressive canines, then glanced over to the television that was left on.

Date: 2013-04-18 05:14 am (UTC)He scratched over his belly again before glancing over at the tv again. "You want to go get on the couch and watch tv or something?"
no subject
Date: 2013-04-18 06:21 am (UTC)It was somewhat strange, this would be his first time watching the television as a wolf. The bright colors were muted in his animal vision but the sounds and flashes of motions stirred interest in the creature. It wished to hunt, and he quelled that with a wolfish snuffle.

Date: 2013-04-18 06:42 am (UTC)"Oh, let me know if you end up getting hungry or anything. We can get your something to eat and drink." He nudged his side playfully, wishing Eliot wasn't hurt so he could maybe end up actually relaxing and having some fun with him.
no subject
Date: 2013-04-19 04:24 am (UTC)The nudge was answered with a swat of his paw, but he was quickly settled against Dean and enjoying the light scratches. Actually, although he was in front of the television now, his attention was on Dean more. His eyes had grown half lidded as he rested his head in Dean's lap and his wolf just enjoyed the attention of his alpha.
But damn if his stomach didn't choose that moment to rumble.

Date: 2013-04-19 04:38 am (UTC)He started the heat before looking back at Eliot for a moment. He fidgeted before grabbing a bottle of water. He didn't know if he should pour the bottle in a bowl or not. He didn't want to treat Eliot like a dog.

Date: 2013-04-21 01:18 am (UTC)No, in fact, he was putting it in to cook.
Stopping where he was, the wolf tilted its head and looked up at the man making him dinner. Ir wasn't necessary, but he appreciated the effort anyway when the soft sizzling and sound of cooking fat filled the small hotel room.
Hungry now, Eliot nudged a nose at Dean's leg then looked up at the bottle of water. Really, water was water, the important part was to make it available for drinking, and holding onto it high above his head wasn't helpful.

Date: 2013-04-21 01:33 am (UTC)He stood back up, checking the steak for a moment before digging through the fridge for the chinese leftovers. He grabbed a plate, piling it up with food as he shifted a bit, checking the steak again.

Date: 2013-04-21 03:48 am (UTC)He didn't know if he would act anything remotely like this around any other should he have changed before them, but he knew without a doubt now that he wouldn't harm Dean. It was a relief to finally know there was someone he could relax with.

Date: 2013-04-21 03:56 am (UTC)"Okay you enjoy that and I'm gonna go stretch out on the couch." He watched him for a moment before nudging him lightly and smiling. "You come pile up on me when you're done and we can watch tv. Sound good?"

Date: 2013-04-21 04:19 am (UTC)It was rather like a large puppy holding onto its master's slippers the way he half trotted, half limped there.
