Eliot felt the need to comfort Dean, his hand rubbing light circles in Dean's shoulder in reassurance. The two of them had things in common, but not their childhood. Eliot was sorry to hear the other man had such a tough time growing up. He couldn't imagine being forced into a life like that.

"I went into the army," Eliot revealed, feeling the need to return the favor to tell Dean at least that much. "It wasn't all that I wanted it to be." That young man who went into the field died a long time ago. A soldier remained, but jaded and made into a killer.
