Probably to Dean's surprise, Eliot picked the steak up in his jaws but then shook his head. He nudged at the bowl with his nose and looked up at Dean, then started to move over to the couch with the steak in mouth. Dean would have to carry that bowl of water.

It was rather like a large puppy holding onto its master's slippers the way he half trotted, half limped there.
